Roger Sands is a co-founder and CEO of Wyebot, Inc. Roger has 17 years of executive management positions in successful networking startups and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Wyebot, Roger was the Business Line Manager for Hewlett-Packard’s WW WLAN business growing it from #6 to #2 market share. Roger joined HP via the acquisition of Colubris Networks a wireless startup where he held a number of executive positions including co-CEO and was instrumental in the HP acquisition. Prior to Colubris, he was a GM at Accton Technology founding the enterprise wireless business and building it to #3 market share via 6 strategic partnerships. Roger also held senior management positions at 3com, USRobotics and Bytex Corporation. Roger holds a Masters and Bachelors in Electrical Engineering at Northeastern University.
Anil Gupta is a co-founder and CTO of Wyebot Inc. Anil has over 20 years of experience in the networking industry, and over 10 years in wireless. Anil has held senior technical positions at startup companies as well as large Fortune 500 companies. Anil has authored 15 patents related to wireless communications. Prior to Wyebot, Anil was a software architect at Colubris Networks a wireless startup that was acquired by Hewlett Packard. Before that, Anil worked at Accton Technology, where he was instrumental in turning around the business. Anil also held key positions at Lucent Technologies, Bell Labs and Hughes Software Systems. Anil holds a Masters in Computer Science from IIT Delhi (India), and Bachelors in Computer Science from Punjabi University, Patiala (India).
Paul Nikolich, Advisor
Mr. Nikolich has been serving the data communications and broadband industries developing technology, standards, intellectual property and establishing new ventures as an executive consultant and angel investor since 2001. He is an IEEE Fellow and has served as Chairman of the IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee since 2001. As 802 Chairman he provides oversight for 75 active 802 standards and the 50+ concurrent 802 activities in wired and wireless communications networking. 802 has over 750 active members and manages the relationships between IEEE 802 and global/regional standards bodies such as ISO, ITU, ETSI, regulatory bodies and industry alliances. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society Standards Activities Board and active leader in the IEEE, the IEEE Computer Society and the IEEE Standards Association.
He is a partner in YAS Broadband Friends LLC and holds several patents, serves on the boards of directors, technology advisory boards of companies developing emerging communications technology and the University of New Hampshire’s Broadband Center of Excellence. Mr. Nikolich has held technical leadership positions at large and small networking and technology companies (e.g., Broadband Access Systems, Racal-Datacom, Applitek, Motorola, Analogic). In 1978&79 he received a BS in Electrical Engineering, a BS in Biology and a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, N.Y (now the NYU Tandon School of Engineering).
