Wyebot Adds Simplified Discovery and Testing for 6 GHz Networks
As 6 GHz moves from early trials into real deployments, many teams run into the same challenge early on: basic discovery and testing take more effort than they should.
With our latest software update, Wyebot now provides native visibility that simplifies discovery and synthetic testing of 6 GHz access points and SSIDs when using the WIS4400 DEX Sensor.
What’s new
6 GHz networks are now visible across the same areas teams already use to discover and test other bands:

AP Tile
6 GHz access points appear alongside 2.4 and 5 GHz radios.

Wi-Fi Networks Tile
Detected networks now include 6 GHz.

My Networks → SSIDs → Detected SSIDs
6 GHz SSIDs are automatically discovered and listed.
Automatic discovery of 6 GHz Network Security settings
A key improvement in this release is how 6 GHz SSIDs are handled during discovery and testing.
Previously, synthetic testing of 6 GHz SSIDs required manually configuring security settings before testing could begin. That added friction and slowed validation.
With this update, the WIS4400 DEX Sensor automatically detects 6 GHz SSIDs and their security characteristics, removing the need for manual configuration just to begin discovery or synthetic testing.
If you’re already using Wyebot with a WIS4400 sensor, simplified 6 GHz discovery and testing are available now with the latest software update.
